Dear Staff and Families,

During this season of joy, we as a Lancaster family want to bring extra happiness to some of our families who are experiencing hardships this holiday season. With this in mind, Lancaster Elementary School would like to support those in need by having a Holiday Giving Tree.

All holiday gift requests have been placed on individual paper “ornaments” that will be hung on the Giving Tree. Staff and families are welcome to take as many ornaments from the tree as they wish, with the understanding that all gifts need to be returned to the school by Wednesday, December 17th. All gifts should be returned wrapped and with the original ornament attached to the gift. Ornaments are needed as all gifts will be numbered since no identifying information is included.

If you are unable to get tags outside of school hours and would like your student to pick them, please complete the google form that is included in the post. We're happy to help your child pick out a Giving Tree tag.

Carols & Cocoa is TONIGHT at Salem High School! Chorus students arrive at the SHS Cafe at 4:45. The event runs 5:30-6:30 PM. The temperature will be dropping through the day and it looks like it will be in the 20s by the time we get started.  Fortunately, no one needs to be outside for a really long time, but it’s a good idea to bundle up with hats, mittens, gloves, hand warmers, thick socks, etc. I’m sure we’ll see lots of festive Santa hats and holiday gear. We hope to see many families tonight!
