Volunteers Needed! PTA Winter Holiday Shop- the week of December 15-19th.

Hi friends! Our amazing PTA is getting ready for the PTA Winter Holiday Shop, and we are looking for a few amazing volunteers to help make the experience magical for the kids.

Students will be shopping for small gifts for their loved ones, and we need helping hands to:

  • Assist kids as they choose items

  • Check out and manage cash box

  • Keep the shop running smoothly and full of holiday cheer

If you have a little time to spare and want to be part of something sweet and memorable, we’d love your support!

As much as we encourage winter fun, students aren’t permitted to bring sleds of any kind onto school buses. Drivers have already been notified to not allow them on the bus. Additionally, sleds are not allowed to be brought to school. Thank you for understanding.

We have two musical events happening in the upcoming week

  • The CHORUS CONCERT will be on Tuesday night, 12/9 at 7:00 PM at the SHS Performing Arts Center (PAC). The chorus students braved a windy snow squall to perform at Carols & Cocoa on Thursday. Despite the elements, they confidently sang for the devoted crowd!

  • Our Willie Wonka Kids theatrical musical will be on Friday night, 12/12 at 6:00 PM at the PAC. We can’t wait to see their enthusiastic performance!

We typically have outdoor recess unless the temperature is less than 20 degrees with the wind chill factored in (the “feels like” temperature). Please make sure you kids come to school with the “Big 5”... boots, snow pants, winter coat, hat & gloves/mittens… if they want to play in the snow. Otherwise, they may play on the hardtop pavement area. This is such a busy season of the year! We’re trying to maintain as much consistency with learning in the month of December, with some breaks for holiday fun! I hope you all have a good weekend.
