Dear Lancaster Families, 

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you enjoyed the breaks of sun & gradual warming this week. As students are getting back into a “school mindset,” it’s helpful to ease them into earlier bedtimes, regular nighttime routines, and backpacks packed up the right before. I’m looking forward to seeing students back as they share stories from their time off.

Our painters have beautified our playground, and it looks amazing with Lancaster blue & yellow colors! We’re in the process of ordering new swings and a few other items. Stay tuned!

Is your child interested in possibly learning to play an instrument? The 26-27 Band & Strings Registration & Instrument Petting Zoo will be on Tues., May 5th at 6:00 PM at SHS Performing Arts Center (incoming 3rd-5th grade students).


PTA Corner:

Lancaster Elementary School's Educator & Staff Appreciation Week schedule from May 4-8, featuring daily events like Gratitude Cafe and Walking Tacos.It is Educator and Staff Appreciation Week! Thank you so much to everyone who donated treats and volunteered for this BIG “thank you” to our caring staff members who make school happen every day for students. Thanks to Ashley Alvaranga for organizing this week of treats!

The PTA Color Run will be on Sunday, May 17th from 8:30-10:30 AM. This event is open to all students K-5th grades. Here’s the route students ran last year, with students (and many parents) running or walking the 1 mile loop. The last day to sign up for the Color Run is Wednesday, May 6th. See the attached flyer.

Finally, we still have some tickets available for Canobie Lake on Wednesday, June 24th. We will sell them until they're all sold out.

  • Early Release- Wednesday, May 13th- 1:30 dismissal

  • PTA Meeting- Tuesday, May 19th at 6:00 PM in library
