A banner reads 'Thank you to our amazing teachers! We appreciate all that you do! Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.'

I can’t begin to express our appreciation on a truly outstanding Educator & Staff Appreciation Week! The donations and creative displays warmed our hearts (and filled our bellies!) as we really felt the LOVE! Special thanks to Ashley Alvaranga, as she coordinated and spent hours upon hours with set up & take down. There were MANY other PTA parents who stepped up, and we genuinely feel grateful!A flyer for 'Maddie's Lunch' features illustrations of sandwiches, fruit, and butterflies.

Also, it’s worth noting the following businesses and people who made this week a success:

VIBE Rentals for the lawn sign

Aroma Joe’s for the coffee

Margaritas for the taco meat

Maddie’s for the entire lunch on Thursday

Cake Pop Momster (Cassandra Fuller, Cici's Mom) for the apple cake pops on Friday!

Finally, the PTA provided a new 4-slice toaster for the Staff Lounge! This is SO appreciated! See many more pictures attached below.

Here are a couple announcements for the week:

  • The Lancaster Chorus Concert is on Tuesday, 5/12 at 6:00-7:00 in the SPAC. Ms. Perrault will remind students of their arrival time & location.

  • The Lancaster Focus on Achievement presentation before the Salem School Board will be on Tuesday, 5/12 at 7:00-8:00 in the SHS TV Studio. Our video about Eureka Math2 will feature several student interviews and classroom learning time, so we’re looking forward to seeing it!

The American flag waves proudly against a clear blue sky with wispy clouds.

Students are in the midst of learning patriotic songs in music class and writing Memorial Day essays about the meaning and significance of Memorial Day. You may hear your child talking about it. We will have an in-school assembly for students on May 20th, where the SHS Cadets & Band Members with Technical Sergeant Taylor Specht will guide us in celebrating this important holiday.

We are beginning our last week of NH SAS testing for grades 3, 4 & 5. Our students are working very hard, showing their best work in reading, writing, math, and 5th grade science. Thanks to parents for encouraging lots of rest & a good breakfast.
