PTA Carnival Fun... Strings Concert... upcoming June events
Dear Lancaster Families,
It was a full, exciting week at Lancaster! We didn’t let a little cold, spring rain dampen our spirits as many, many families came out to celebrate our PTA Carnival last night. I genuinely appreciate all the PTA volunteers who helped run this event. Gerry Motta was the dedicated gatekeeper to the bounce house… you could almost call him a bouncer! 🙂 Everyone who braved the frigid waters of the dunk tank electrified the crowd! Ashley, Kayla & Lisa spun sticky cotton candy behind a hot machine for hours. Whew! The things we do to help kids have a magical childhood! Thank you all.

Our 4th & 5th Grade Strings Concert on Tuesday night was momentous! Combining strings’ students from all 5 elementary schools is a feat, and Steve Organek orchestrates and coordinates with joy & enthusiasm. Special thanks to the SHS students who played along with elementary students in style.

Next week brings the start of June, when students often think we’re done & ready for the summer. We’re not done with learning just yet, but we try to infuse some fun activities and celebrations in at the end. This upcoming week brings:
Tuesday, June 2nd
Woodbury Move-Up Day for 5th grade students- Be sure students arrive on time for school, as the bus leaves at 8:45 AM.
Kindergarten Orientation for incoming K students- There is no school for CURRENT kindergarten students ONLY today.
Elementary Band Concert at the SPAC- 6:00 PM (students arrive at 4:45)
Remember, calendar events can be found on our website:

Happy weekend!
